Discussion- review of pot color selection, soil composition
To-do - Use more Akadame and Clayite. Air layer vs cutting- cutting produce roots on one side due to unavoidable crushing of tissue on one side. Roots will not emerge from crushed tissue. Air layer produces roots all the way around.
Worked on Saunders Select boxwood- Use sharp chop stick to evaluate buried trunk. Establish primary and secondary branch structure by pruning and wiring. Tertiary branches and foliage will benefit.

To-do - wire Elm , Maple, Hawthorne and Hackberry branch tips and air layer them next spring.

A1 Abelia-
train new branches away from exposed dead wood root. Dead wood is focal point and needs to be at 2/3 horizontal. Train new branches away from dead wood. Need round, blueish bowl pot with root extending toward front left and new branches extending cascade style toward the left.
VTM1 Variagated Maple-
To-do Clean up up trunk cuts. Possible future thread graft through trunk chop for new apex. Air layer branch for new parent plant.
PB1 Literati Pine-
To-do Clean out old needles. remove bud tips all pines
AJ1 Weasel repot *spring using Akadama mix.
